What you'll do
Join this fun ballet workout taught by former Royal Ballet dancer, Sheena Chundee and Director of Rebel Stepz from your living room!
Inspired by barre classes that professional dancers would do on a daily basis, this workout blends the poise of pilates with the flowing sequencing of yoga and basic ballet techniques. This class is low-impact so there's no stress on the joints and is a perfect exercise in cold weather.
Executed to fun playlists like 90s hip hop, 70s blues or 80s pop, this class will be lead by a cheeky instructor who will have you laughing, sweating and improving your overall health.
The efficient use of bodyweight exercises means you will improve your posture, balance, flexibility and strength. You don't need anything but a chair to hang on to!
You have the option of adding light hand weights or using a thera-band/resistance band which will increase your endurance and strength. Most importantly, barre feels graceful and fun and will help to sculpt and shape without bulking up and instead you will achieve long and lean muscle tone.
Knowledge required
Perfect for beginners or those who have some experience.
What to bring
- A chair or something to hang onto.
- Light hand weights or a thera-band/resistance band optional.
- Have a bottle of water nearby.
