Looking for Christmas gift ideas? Join us in this hands-on interactive online class where you will cook alongside an experienced chef, Kelly, from The Hellenic Odyssey, in the comfort of your own home.

Not only is Kelly a Greek home cook with a proud heritage, but she's also an Aussie who will be live-streaming her class from down under so that she can share her knowledge of Greek food with those stuck in UK lockdown.

In this virtual class, you will learn how to prepare two of the most popular and traditional authentic Greek biscuits around, Melomakarona (orange, honey and walnut biscuits dipped in a light and aromatic cinnamon syrup) and Kourambiethes (almond and butter biscuits covered in icing sugar). These are the type of biscuits that you would expect to find in a Greek family home in the lead up to Christmas and make great Xmas gifts for loved ones.

Greek food is not only about sharing food and passing down recipes taught from grandmothers, it is also about creating a welcoming and hospitable environment. So fill your home with the inviting scent of homecooked greek treats and make your favourite people some delicious edible festive gifts.

In this online class, you will learn:

• How to prepare Greek biscuits.
• Learn about Greek cuisine and the principles of the Mediterranean diet.
• New skills to become an even more confident cook.

You will get:

• A 60-minute cook-along experience with an experienced home cook demonstrating the recipe.
• A recipe card and preparation instructions will be emailed to you 3-4 days prior to the class.
• How to prepare for the class to get the most out of the live online class. A list of equipment you will need.

At the end of this relaxing and festive virtual class, you will have a fresh batch of Greek almond biscuits to gift to friends and family (or treat yourself and scoff them hot out the oven)!

• If you prefer not to cook along and simply watch the demonstration you can also do that.
• The class will not be recorded.
• This class requires at least 4 students to run. In the unlikely event that we don't get this number of students, we'll cancel the class and fully refund you and inform you prior to the session

All levels are welcome.
  Please prepare the ingredients and equipment prior to the class (this will be emailed to you 3-4 days before the class). Don't forget to bring your appetite!
