It was really well organised, and there was a huge selection of dried flowers for us to use in our bouquet. We ended up making a surprisingly large bouquet, which we then also learned how to wrap them up nicely to take home. I'd say the class is perfect for complete beginners. I had never done any flower arranging before, but the teacher was incredibly helpful and kept coming around to give everyone advice and encouragement. Before we started, she introduced all of the different flowers we were using. We made the bouquet using a spiral technique. The colour palette, inspired by David Hockney, was absolutely beautiful and made the whole experience feel really creative and uplifting. I left with a bouquet I was genuinely proud of and is now sitting in my living room. I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and beginner-friendly activity.

Sophie was very knowledgeable about flower arranging yet was able to explain the concepts to us in an approachable way. She was attentive and made sure we progressed at our own pace without getting stuck. She was kind throughout the whole experience! All in all, I was quite surprised with the depth of knowledge in flower arranging and how much we learned in such a short time! We got some gorgeous and diverse types of dried flowers to work with, which really allowed us to express our creativity with beautiful results! I really felt like just this made the whole thing worth it! Great way to be creative and learn about flower arranging!

Sophie is a florist based in London with a natural style emphasising movement, form and seasonal plants and flowers. Her style references nature heavily, showing the same respect to foliage as to standout flowers. Sophie has a background in sculpture and fine art which informs a lot of her current practice with flowers.Having tutored art students in the past Sophie has brought this experience to floristry, creating engaging classes covering the basis of traditional practical techniques fused with her own personal style. Guests will learn important key skills and arrangement theory and then be encouraged to have fun with their own creations :)
