Àníké Lifestyle was born during the stillness of 2020.In the quiet of lockdown, after a season of burnout, I received a divine invitation to rest. I had spent so long pushing, pouring and producing that I barely recognised my own needs. Then came a gentle a divine encounter to come away and rest.So I did.I began working with scent at my kitchen table as a healing response. I wanted to create a quiet offering that would remind women to breathe, to slow down and to feel safe again in their own bodies and spaces. Àníké became that offering.With no savings and no industry connections, I crowdfunded the first collection through deep conviction and obedience. The candles and room mists soon found their way into pop-ups at John Lewis, Fenwick and Boots. I poured, labelled and packed every order by hand. Even then, it was never only about scent. It was about presence.In 2023, I paused the brand to carry new life. I became a mother. And a year into motherhood, I lost my father.It was in that delicate space between birth and grief that Àníké’s deeper meaning revealed itself. She was more than a brand. She was a companion. A steady, tender presence able to sit with a woman in joy, in sorrow and in the quiet in-between. A presence that simply stays.Today, Àníké relaunches not from scratch, but from becoming.She begins again with home fragrance, while carrying a wider vision. Àníké is being built to walk gently beside women through every season of their lives.
