All Day Crochet Workshop

Have a little ‘me’ time in a small group and come and spend the day crocheting. Crochet has so many mental health benefits; it’s been known to help with stress and anxiety, depression, insomnia, and even reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s. It also builds your self-esteem. It’s a great way to spend time with other people who love to crochet!

All abilities are welcome, from complete beginners or beginners who have tried to learn with YouTube and books, all the way through to advanced crocheters. Found a pattern you’d like help with? Then bring it along, or I have many patterns that you can try. This is a small workshop with a maximum of 6 people.

For beginners, I’ll start by explaining the UK/USA terms. Then we will learn to chain, double crochet (single crochet - USA terms), and treble crochet (double crochet - USA terms). After a bit of practise, we can move to any stitch you’d like, from waffle stitch, granny square, c2c, or anything else you’d like to try. If you know the basics, then we’ll build on these skills, looking at things like magic ring, increasing, decreasing, working in a round, colour changing, and more! As with all my classes, we work at your individual pace, and having the whole day means you won’t feel you have to rush!
