In this two-hour class, I’ll personally guide you step-by-step through the whole process of making a stunning 25cm-wide lampshade. I will share my tried-and-tested techniques and insider tips to help you make a piece that perfectly complements your home and looks like it stepped straight out of a designer’s studio. This workshop is perfect for beginners, so no previous experience is required as I'll show you everything you need to know.
What's included in the class:
  • All the tools and components you'll need to craft your masterpiece.
  • A step-by-step written guide, so you can recreate this at home.
By the end of the session, you’ll have your own one-of-a-kind piece to take home, ready to use on a lamp stand or hang as a ceiling pendant. The finished lampshade will be 25cm in diameter and 21cm high.
This is a fantastic way to learn a new skill and add a personal, handmade touch to your decor. You'll leave feeling revitalised, with not just a beautiful lampshade but also the confidence and knowledge to make more.

Hi, I’m Tash, the designer, maker, and joyful force behind Fitz and Gwen. I started my lampshade journey in 2016 with one simple goal: to create pieces that make people smile. My love for bold colours and playful patterns runs deep, and you’ll see it in every shade we craft, from punchy geometrics to romantic florals.
Teaching lampshade-making workshops has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. I love seeing people light up (pun intended!) when they realise they can create something beautiful with their own hands. Whether it’s a beginner trying their first shade or a team bonding over fabric choices, I aim to make every class fun, inspiring, and confidence-boosting.
If you’re looking to learn, laugh, and leave with something truly unique, I’d love to welcome you into the colourful world of Fitz and Gwen.
