It's a low-pressure environment where you can focus on picking up new skills while enjoying the company of fellow makers. Your teacher will be on hand to guide you through the trickier parts, ensuring you feel confident as you hammer in those final studs.Throughout the course, you'll learn:

Knowledge required
This course is suitable for beginners who have used a sewing machine before, or those with some experience who want to learn new skills.It's a great follow-on from our Learn to Sew: Make a Skirt or Learn to Sew: Casual Basics, or for home sewers who want to further their skills.
What to bring
We have a selection of fabrics and trims in the studio which you can purchase from us. If you would like to bring your own fabric, you will need 2.5 - 3m of fabric.A medium or lightweight woven is ideal; these dungarees will not work in stretch fabric. Feel free to get in touch before the class to discuss fabric choices.The fabric should be washed before you use it. A normal 30-degree wash is perfect.

Make Mee Studio is run by Tracey & Jaime. We are two enthusiastic life long sewers (both sewing since were 7 & 5 years old!) We love sharing our making skills with others. We have over 10 years of combined teaching experience working with children and adults.We offer sewing lesson, alterations, makes and commissions in our Brockley-based studio and are active in our local community offering workshops to anyone and everyone who will sit down at a sewing machine with us!
