Move beyond the classic blueprint print and discover just how expressive and unpredictable the wet cyanotype process can be.
Working with the chemistry while it's still wet opens up a world of creative possibility. You'll introduce natural ingredients into your prints, watching how timing, moisture and chemistry combine to shape one-of-a-kind results – no two prints are ever quite the same.
Throughout the session, you'll be guided through personal techniques step by step, with plenty of room to experiment and find your own artistic style along the way. Expect individual guidance and plenty of encouragement as you build your confidence with the process.
During the workshop, you'll:

  • Experiment with natural ingredients to create unique colours and textures

Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was only 13 when I graduated from my first School of Arts after five years of study. From there, I continued to the College of Arts, later completed a degree in Psychology, and eventually found my way back to what had always felt like home—photography. Today, I’m studying for my BA (Hons) in Photography at London Metropolitan University, where I also work as an Academic Mentor, supporting first-year photography students.
Looking back, I realise creativity has always been the thread connecting every stage of my life. Photography became much more than taking pictures—it became a way of telling stories, preserving memories, and seeing beauty in places that most people walk past.
The first time I created a cyanotype print, I was completely captivated. There was something magical about watching an image slowly appear under sunlight. Even now, every print feels like a small surprise. No two are ever the same, and that’s exactly why I love this process so much.
Teaching happened naturally. Friends, classmates, and students would ask how I created my work, and I realised how much I enjoyed sharing what I knew. Seeing someone go from saying, “I’m not creative, ” to proudly holding up something they made with their own hands is one of the best feelings in the world. I genuinely believe creativity isn’t about talent—it’s about giving yourself permission to explore.
One thing that shapes the way I teach is my background in Psychology. It taught me that everyone learns differently, so I don’t believe in intimidating workshops or making people feel like they need experience. My workshops are relaxed, welcoming, and full of encouragement. Mistakes are part of the process, and sometimes they lead to the most beautiful results.
Over the years, my work has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including PhotoVogue, Malvie Magazine, Moevir Magazine, and Raamat Magazine. Alongside creating my own fine art photography, I make handmade cyanotype notebooks and artworks using traditional photographic processes that have fascinated me for years.
Something most people don’t know is that cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic printing techniques in the world, dating back to 1842. Every print is developed using sunlight, water, and patience. In a world where almost everything is digital and instant, I think there’s something incredibly special about slowing down and making something entirely by hand.
If you join one of my workshops, I hope you’ll leave with more than just a beautiful print. I hope you’ll leave feeling inspired, more confident in your creativity, and excited to keep making things long after the workshop ends.
