Acrylic Pouring Flip Cup and Drag Workshop

Choose your colours. Leave the rest to chance. Acrylic pouring in Ickenham.

2.5 hours Location Ickenham Class size 1 to 5 guests   £50

Discover the unexpected beauty of acrylic pouring and create two original abstract canvases in a relaxed, small-group workshop in Ickenham, West London.
This isn't your ordinary acrylic pouring workshop. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the colour combinations you explore to the atmosphere in which you create. You don't need to know how to paint. In fact, not knowing exactly how your artwork will turn out is part of the fun.
In this relaxed 2.5-hour experience, you will create two original 10 × 10 inch canvases using two different acrylic pouring techniques: Flip Cup and Flip & Drag.
We will begin with a moment to pause and settle in before exploring the colour wheel and discovering how colours work together. You will see a selection of curated combinations for inspiration before choosing up to three colours and one shimmer, metallic or pearl paint to create your own palette.
I will then demonstrate both techniques step by step.
Flip Cup involves layering colours into a cup, flipping it onto the canvas and allowing the paint to spread into unexpected patterns, shapes and cells.
Flip & Drag takes things further. Instead of lifting the cup, you will slowly drag it across the canvas, creating sweeping areas of colour and elongated patterns.
With just two to five guests in each session, there's plenty of individual guidance while still giving you the freedom to experiment. You can use the same palette across both canvases for a coordinated pair or explore two complementary combinations.
At the end, we will arrange a curated photo moment with your finished artwork. Your canvases will then remain with me to dry and receive their finishing coat before being ready for collection approximately one week later.
Whether you are coming with a friend, your partner, children or simply looking for a different way to spend an afternoon, this is an opportunity to step away from your usual routine, try something new and create artwork that's entirely your own.
Perfect for birthdays, intimate hen parties or small team away days.

Please note: Public dates for this class require at least 2 guests to run. In the unlikely event that we don't reach this number, we may cancel the session; if that happens, we'll inform you and let you choose between a refund or reschedule, so please watch your email/SMS one day prior to the class.

I’m Kristina Cranfield - a fluid acrylic artist and creative workshop host based in West London.
I started painting during a time when I felt stretched thin. Like many women, I was juggling responsibilities and moving through the days on autopilot, all while quietly craving something that felt meaningful, creative and truly mine. Exploring colour through fluid acrylics became not just a form of self-expression, but a way to slow down and reconnect with myself.
Now, I share that joy through elegant, small-group workshops designed for people who crave a creative reset.
My workshops are created to help you:
Reconnect with your creativity in a calm, intuitive space
Step away from daily overwhelm and find stillness
Create meaningful, elegant décor that reflects your inner world
If you’re seeking a break from the rush, a spark of inspiration, or simply a beautiful afternoon to express yourself, I’d be honoured to welcome you.
