What you'll do
In this absolute beginners' class, you will learn the basics of crochet. We start with a slip knot, chain, then UK double crochet and UK treble crochet. We discuss the difference between UK/USA terms and how to spot which patterns are written in. I will also explain yarn and hooks, and I can answer any questions you have as we go.
At the end of this class, you will have learned everything you need to get started!
I have been crocheting since 2011, teaching crochet since 2018, and pattern designing since 2021 (including designing for Disney crochet, you’ll also find me in a beginner book sold on Amazon!)
Everything you need to get started will be provided!
What you'll learn:
- How to make a slip knot, chain, UK double crochet, and UK treble crochet
- The difference between US and UK terminology
- Information about hook sizes, tension, and yarn weights
- Practise the correct way to turn and continue to the next row
- Any crochet questions answered.
Aged 9+ years old also welcome.
