Explore over 50 designs and try on a few band widths. Your tutor will measure your finger so your ring fits comfortably.


Shape the Band

Shape the Band

Curve your strip of 999 fine silver around a steel mandrel. Tap it gently with a mallet until the ends meet.


Solder the Band

Solder the Band

At the soldering bench, your tutor will show you how heat draws solder into the seam to join the two ends of your ring.


Add Texture

Add Texture

Choose a texture from the studio samples. Your tutor will show you how to make marks in the silver to create the pattern you like.


Sand and Polish

Sand and Polish

Smooth the seam and edges, then polish the band to bring out the texture. Try it on to check the fit.

If you’ve booked the Enamel add-on, choose a colour for your design. Fired enamel can pick out a small motif or trace a line around the band.


Start with a strip of 999 fine silver (99.9% pure silver) and leave FirePetal Studio in Stratford wearing a ring you shaped yourself. Try on samples from a collection of over 50 designs, then choose the width, texture and finish you’d like for yours.
At the jeweller’s bench, your tutor will help you find your ring size and show you how to curve the silver around a mandrel. See how the ends are joined, then work around the band with files and polishing tools until the edges feel smooth on your finger.
The 90-minute workshop is £65 per guest and includes one finished silver ring and a gift box to take home that day. If you’d like a little colour, select the optional Enamel add-on when booking (+£30 per ring, £95 in total). Your tutor will help you choose a design that suits a fired enamel detail.
We allow a 15-minute grace period from your booked start time. After that, the class will be under way and we may be unable to admit you. If that happens, contact FirePetal Studio and we’ll offer you one opportunity to reschedule.

FAQ

Do I need to know my ring size?
We’ll measure your finger at the bench before you shape the band. If the ring is a surprise for someone else, bring their ring size or a ring that fits the finger they’ll wear it on.
Can we make matching rings?
Yes. Each guest makes one ring, so you can choose the same design, vary the texture slightly or each pick a different style.
Can just one person in our booking add enamel?
Yes. When booking, select Enamel for the number of rings you’d like to colour. Everyone else can keep their chosen silver finish.

Is there parking near the studio?
There is street parking on Burford Road, subject to availability and the restrictions on the signs. Stratford High Street DLR is about a two-minute walk from the studio.
