1-to-1 Pottery Throwing Class

Learn how to make pottery at this private pottery class in London!

2 hours Class size 1 on 1       £120 (PayPal Pay in 3 available)

Join me for a relaxed, hands-on pottery workshop in my active production studio. This two-hour private session is designed for you to explore clay at your own pace. It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner or if you're looking to refine your existing skills; you'll learn how to work with the material in a supportive environment. I'll begin with a demonstration and show you all the steps at the wheel so you can feel confident before trying yourself.
What makes this session special is practising in a real, functioning ceramics studio where every stage of production happens daily—from throwing and trimming to glazing and packing. You’ll be surrounded by the energy of a working pottery workshop.
At the end of our session, you'll select favourite two pieces to keep, which I'll then fire and glaze for you. These will be ready for you to collect in about three weeks. If you’d like to participate in the glazing too, I'm happy to offer a free quick session where you can glaze your pieces yourself. Otherwise, I’ll notify you when your finished pieces are ready to collect!
This is all about the joy of making. Come as you are—no experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands messy.

Hi, I’m Nur – a ceramicist based in London. I first discovered pottery while preparing for university, thanks to a teacher who opened my eyes to the world of clay. That early spark led me to study ceramics as my degree, though I went on to spend years working in graphic design before returning to pottery after becoming a parent.
Coming back to clay felt like coming home. I rediscovered its calming, grounding energy – and how powerful it can be for self-expression and reflection. Now I create from my own studio, where I make each piece by hand and share my love of the process through one-to-one lessons.
I believe pottery is for everyone – whether you're trying something new or reconnecting with a creative side. My classes are warm, supportive, and a great way to slow down and get your hands into something real.
