What you'll do
If you’re an absolute beginner wanting to start learning to crochet or someone who knows the basics and would like to increase their crochet knowledge, I can help you! I have been crocheting since 2011, teaching crochet since 2018, and pattern designing since 2021 (including designing for Disney crochet; you’ll also find me in a beginner book sold on Amazon!).
If you’re a beginner, we will go at your pace and aim to cover everything you need to know to get started. What you'll learn as a beginner:
- How to make a slip knot, chain, UK double crochet, and UK treble crochet
- The difference between US and UK terminology
- Information about hook sizes, tension, and yarn weights
- Practise the correct way to turn and continue to the next row
- Any crochet questions answered.
If you know the basics, I can help you work on whatever crochet pattern you’d like! I also have some beginner to advanced patterns available. Message me, and we can discuss what you’d like to learn in this class!
I can also teach Tunisian crochet, mosaic crochet, and other types of crochet - please advise me before the class if you’d like to learn a different type of crochet!
Knowledge required
Crochet hooks, 5mm if you have them. I'll have some to borrow if not! Other than that, just yourself!
