In this exploratory workshop, you'll learn how to use movement as a form of expression and communication beyond traditional dance. Throughout the session, you'll develop techniques for translating emotions, thoughts and experiences into physical form while creating your own meaningful movement sequences both individually and collectively.
This creative activity welcomes participants from all backgrounds—dancers, thinkers, or simply those curious about embodied expression. Many worry that movement workshops require dance experience, but this unique approach focuses on authentic expression rather than technical skill, making it accessible to everyone regardless of physical ability or prior training.
During the workshop, you'll work with your body as a tool for exploration and discovery, experiencing how movement can become a method of "writing" that bridges the known and unknown. The session begins with an invitation to confront personal themes like stress, love, loss or connection. You'll then engage in physical exercises that explore shape, rhythm and abstraction, allowing your body to express what words often cannot.
