Wedding First Dance Lesson

With over 38 years of dance experience, I understand the stress that wedding dances can bring. Let me guide you towards the intimacy and joy this moment can offer, without the anxiety. In these tailor-made sessions, you’ll learn how to create a first dance that reflects your unique connection as a couple.This workshop is designed to accommodate all abilities, expectations, and wishes. We’ll discuss and confirm an appropriate song and dance style, considering the time, location, dance floor size, and your attire. If you desire simple choreography, you'll learn it in the first session, leaving you to practise and perhaps return for a final polish. For more complex choreography, we'll discuss future lessons, costs, and schedules.This activity includes studio space, music editing, written notes, and video recordings. Sessions can also be conducted via Zoom. I also offer group classes for bridal parties, including parents and family members who wish to participate.Beyond the choreography, I aim to help you connect with your truest emotions and express them through body language. Your first dance is an opportunity to showcase the physical joy, trust, honesty, passion, connection, and freedom of your loving union. Choreography should enhance this, not detract from it.Dance provides a wonderful opportunity for light-hearted fun and stress relief, a skill you can enjoy together for a lifetime.
