Discover a new creative skill in this weaving workshop in Manchester. Using simple materials and guided techniques, you’ll learn how to create beautiful woven pieces such as baskets and table décor while exploring the rhythm and flow of this traditional craft.
Perfect for complete beginners, this workshop is designed to be accessible, supportive, and enjoyable from the very first moment.
What to expect:
  • Hands-on from minute one: we’ll dive straight into weaving with paper vines, so you’ll feel the rhythm of the craft right away.
  • Practical and beautiful: make pieces you’ll actually want to use at home -- baskets, table décor.
  • Small groups, personal guidance: classes are kept intimate for so you can enjoy help with tricky bits and celebrate the wins.
  • No experience needed: If you’ve never tried weaving before, perfect. You'll be guided step-by-step to create a personal, hand-made (by you) woven décor.
By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with your own handmade woven décor piece, new creative skills, and the confidence to continue weaving at home.
Rescheduling: One free reschedule per booking with at least 3 days notice. Second reschedule or cancellations within 3 days are non-refundable — but you’re welcome to send a friend in your place.

Hi, I’m Kristina
I fell in love with weaving back in 2022 during an intensive course, and I haven’t put my hands down since. Over the last few years I’ve been creating baskets and woven home décor that are made to be used and loved, not just admired on a shelf.
My signature material
I work with paper vines — strips of paper hand-rolled into sturdy tubes, then sealed with water-based varnish. Once treated, they become as solid and durable as traditional wicker or rattan, but lighter and eco-friendly. You get the classic look and strength of basketry, with a modern, sustainable twist.
Alongside my studio work, I’ve run several live weaving workshops where complete beginners walked in curious and left with both new skills and a beautiful piece they made themselves.
I truly love sharing this craft because weaving slows us down and connects us to something handmade and real. If you’re looking for a relaxed, welcoming space to learn, chat, and leave with a piece you’re proud of, I’d love to have you join me.
