What you'll do

Learn the Basics

We’ll start by exploring simple techniques like blending, layering, and brush control. This is your time to play, experiment, and build confidence. No experience needed!

Trace Your Botanical Design

You’ll trace one of my hand-drawn botanical designs onto your paper, so you can settle into the process and enjoy creating without overthinking.

Flow Into Painting

With your design in place, you’ll begin painting using the techniques we’ve explored. This is your moment to slow down, get into the flow, and gently bring your artwork to life.

Whether you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before or simply want a mindful break from your day-to-day, this session is all about enjoying the process rather than focusing on perfection. This workshop is about reconnecting with your creativity and enjoying a calm, inspiring atmosphere.

What to expect:

Begin with a gentle introduction to watercolour techniques, where you’ll learn how to blend colours, build soft layers, and gain confidence with your brush.
You'll use a hand-drawn botanical design to trace, so even if you don’t feel confident drawing, you’ll have a beautiful starting point!
From there, you’ll bring your piece to life using the techniques you’ve learned.
A cosy, relaxed setting designed to help you unwind.
Small group experience for a personal and supportive feel.

You’ll leave with your own finished botanical watercolour painting -- something personal, delicate, and completely unique to you. And perhaps even more importantly, you’ll leave feeling inspired and proud of what you’ve created!

Hi, I’m Denise, the artist behind Studio Little Botanica. My love for watercolour began eight years ago, during a time when I needed a new hobby just for myself. I stumbled across a woman painting on Instagram and thought, “I need to try this!” That small moment sparked a passion that has stayed with me ever since.

I’ve organised watercolour socials across London and quickly realised that people loved gathering to paint, but often needed a little more guidance to truly enjoy the process. That’s what inspired me to begin teaching.

Watercolour has brought so much calm, joy, and creativity into my life, and sharing that with others feels incredibly meaningful. I’ve always been drawn to florals and the beauty of nature, and that inspiration continues to shape my work today.

My workshops are warm, relaxed, and welcoming, a space for anyone to slow down, connect, and discover the magic of creating something with their own hands.
