Join our intermediate sewing course in London! Over six weekly sessions, you will learn how to translate sewing patterns into finished garments. You will first make a cotton tunic and then choose to make trousers with seam pockets or a tiered skirt.
This course is designed for those with some sewing experience. Whether you’re sewing for fun, fashion, or future plans, this course will give you the skills to stitch with style!
What to expect:
  • Practise measuring, reading patterns, fabric cutting and garment assembly.
  • Master finishing techniques for professional results!
  • Learn in a supportive and creative environment.
  • Work with a selection of materials -- and you're welcome to bring your own!
Proceeds support community art projects focused on mental well-being and creative health. By the end of the course, you will leave with two handmade pieces and a stronger understanding of the clothes-making process.

What you'll get
  • Small group sessions (max 6 participants) with plenty of 1:1 support.
  • Sewing machines and all materials provided (or bring your own).
  • Refreshments: snacks, biscuits, fruit, tea, coffee, and a bottle of beer or a glass of wine if desired.

  • Bring your own textiles if you wish.
  • We recommend that you buy 2 metres by 1.45 metres of plain woven cotton.
