Pottery at the Dock

Join us for a relaxing, family-friendly pottery workshop in London, where you’ll get stuck into the joy of hand-building your own pottery whilst enjoying views of the O2, Canary Wharf and the River Thames. No experience is needed -- this workshop is all about playing with clay, getting creative and making something totally unique. We’ll be using decorative clay, so your artworks are best made as decorative treasures. You can create whatever inspires you, from a plant pot to a trinket dish, decorative bowl, keepsake or quirky sculpture. You’ll learn fundamental techniques including pinching, coiling, sculpting and surface decoration, with friendly demonstrations and support throughout. Decorative clay dries naturally, so you’ll be able to take your creation home on the day -- and don’t worry, we’ll provide a box to help carry it safely. Once it’s dry, you can paint and decorate it at home using your own paints, adding the final touches in your own time before proudly displaying your unique handmade artwork.
