Looking for things to do in London with kids? This family workshop is a great way to inspire your kids' creative minds through the use of film! Follow in the footsteps of classic stop-motion children's TV and films like Shaun the Sheep, Wallace and Gromit, and more.
In this crafty workshop, adults and kids will have everything they need to create stage sets, props, and more so you can work together on making a mini video. A friendly teacher will be on hand to guide you through 2D and 3D effects.
Your little film directors will then go home with all the inspiration and top tips they need to keep making more incredible stop-motion animation at home.
Please note: Children aged 7 and above are welcome to be dropped off. Parents/carers are free to explore Spitalfields and Brick Lane while we create.
To ensure an uninterrupted and fun workshop for all participants, we kindly request that attendees arrive on time, as late arrivals exceeding a 10-minute delay will be turned away to avoid disruption to the ongoing class and inconvenience to others.

Art Play London was founded by Silva Castellani in 2018, starting in galleries such as Phillips, and pop up venues around London.
Art Play is now a new art studio which opened in East London in February 2022, where children and adults of all ages are free to release their imaginations and inner creativity.
Art Play has a strong focus and the environment and aims to educate children and adults on their environmental impact through art, using a variety of sustainable mediums and materials.
Art Play is part of the worldwide Precious Plastic community which means it will be a plastic collection point for people to drop off their HDPE plastic which would otherwise end up in landfills or the ocean. The plastic is then shredding and melted and turned into useful objects and pieces of art, such as plant pots and coasters.
