We love meeting new budding musicians! Regular Ukulittle® sessions at the Hub return for Spring Term 2027, so you can keep playing creating and growing with us.


Join Ukulittle® at the Hub for a playful, story-led music experience for children aged 5–9, where music, mischief, and imagination help bring little hands onto the ukulele.
Stories and imaginative play are not separate from the music-making. They are part of the way children are drawn into rhythm, singing, movement, songwriting, and their first experience of holding and strumming a ukulele.
Children might meet a funny wolf, follow a rainbow, invent a verse, send a song into space, or simply discover the thrill of strumming together. Along the way, they’ll explore simple rhythms, songs, and musical patterns, respond to playful cues, and begin making music as part of a group.
No previous musical experience is needed. Everything is introduced through play, participation, and imagination rather than through a conventional lesson format.
The aim is to fire the imagination, build confidence, and let children discover the ukulele through a world that feels playful, surprising, and alive.
CHOOSE SESSION BY AGE
3pm – ages 5–6
4pm – ages 7–9
Sessions are grouped by age where numbers allow. If bookings are small, groups may be combined, and we’ll contact you in advance if a different time is needed.
WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Hands-on exploration of the instrument, including strumming, tapping, and simple chords.
  • Guided musical play that responds to the children’s ideas and energy.
  • Collaborative songwriting, with the group helping to shape a simple song together.
  • Making music together as a group, building towards a shared performance moment.
  • A relaxed, engaging session centred on music-making, fun, and self-expression.

Knowledge required
  • Beginner-friendly, for ages 5-9.
  • A basic understanding of spoken English is helpful.
What to bring
  • Nothing required – all instruments are provided.
  • If bringing your own instrument, please ensure it is a tunable soprano ukulele (toy instruments are not suitable).
  • Costumes are welcome (character headbands available during the session).
  • If your child would like to take a ukulele or plectrum home, please add and pay for them when booking.
  • Colour selections only apply to paid add-ons – purchased add-ons will be prepared in your chosen colour for the day.

Lordship Hub is located in the heart of Lordship Recreation Ground in Tottenham, North London. The nearest park entrance is on Higham Road, N17 6NU, with the W4 bus stopping close to the entrance. Bus routes 123 and 243 also run along Lordship Lane; get off at Waltheof Avenue and follow the path through the park towards the Hub. There is no on-site parking, so public transport is recommended. Parking is available on surrounding roads, although restrictions apply around Higham Road between 2–4pm Monday to Friday. Vehicle access to the Hub can be arranged in advance for disabled transport and loading or unloading. Accessible toilet facilities are available at the Hub. Over the past decade, I’ve developed a holistic approach that brings music to life for children and families, both in person and online. I’ve taught hundreds of students, led jam sessions across the UK and Italy, and even brought my work to the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, where I presented my animal character UkuLeela™ and shared my vision with international publishers and educators.
I specialise in teaching children aged 4–10, and I’m passionate about helping families connect through music — through rhythm, voice, creative play, and encouraging first steps with a real instrument. My classes often blend singing, improvisation, and gentle performance skills to help children grow in confidence while having real musical fun.
I’ve collaborated with nurseries, schools, and parent groups, and I’m currently developing project-based collaborations in North London.
