How can we help?
Q: Is it like a sewing machine?
The tufting gun is like a hand held sewing machine, the 'foot' of the sewing machine is similar to the foot of the tufting gun which is pushed through the frame and the yarn is cut on the opposite side of the fabric. The yarn is threaded through the scissors at the foot of the gun but the tufting gun is easier to operate, thread and use than a sewing machine and is entirely operated by hand. It is relatively quiet to operate and sounds similar to a sewing machine.
Q: What if i make a mistake?
We all make mistakes so please don't worry! As the tufted stitch is not secured until the entire piece is finished, if you make a mistake and stitch the wrong colour or in the wrong place, you can just pull the yarn out and set off tufting again!
Q: What's the cancellation policy?
A: No cancellations, but free to reschedule up until 7 days before the class
Q: How long does the class run for, and what's the price?
A: 4.5 hours, £95 - £105 per guest (£105 per guest when you book for 1 guest, £100/guest for 2+ guests, £95/guest for 4+ guests)

Choose Your Design
Before you arrive, take a moment to think about what you would like to create or look at, keeping in mind that a simple yet effective design often yields the best results. As you plan, consider your colour palette—ideally restricted to a maximum of 4–6 colours—and where you intend to place your finished tuft once you take it home.
Arrive Ready to Tuft
For your safety when using the tufting gun, please arrive prepared with no loose clothing, jewellery, or hair. It is important to note that your design will already be drawn up on the frame and the yarn will be stocked, so we are unable to change the design on the day. Additionally, please allow for the full duration of the workshop and feel free to take advantage of the free onsite parking.
Welcome and Safety
Upon arrival, you can enjoy a warm or cold drink while we conduct a swift safety and operating demonstration of your cut-pile A K-1 tufting gun. Afterward, you will have the chance to get acquainted with your station and practice some lines before you officially start tufting!
Tufting
As you create, you will work on the back of the tuft and watch your artwork come to life on the opposite side of the frame. The process is very much like colour by numbers, and you will see your design emerge step by step. Throughout the workshop, the Louka team will always be on hand to support you.
