What you'll do

Unwind in a warm and welcoming environment as you learn floristry from an experienced, local teacher. All the materials are included, plus some refreshments!
Over three hours, you will explore different flower materials and sundries that will be used for your floral design. We will also take a look at alternative flowers that are perfect for each season, giving you the skills to make a beautiful arrangement all year round.
Learn how to prepare the mechanics of your flower arrangement and make a raffia bow, how to place flower placements and top tips to use when you are 'greening up' the basket.
By the end of this floristry workshop, you will leave with a beautiful flower arrangement in a lovely trug basket to take home, plus plenty of knowledge on how to care for your design at home.

Your teacher
My flower journey began over 40 years ago when I worked as a Saturday girl in a local flower shop; I loved the fact that every day in a flower shop was different and the creative side of making a variety of flower designs for different occasions.
I completed a number of floristry qualifications and became a British Master Florist in 2008. Over the years, I have been lucky enough to have made numerous flower designs for special events including helping with the flowers for the eight world leaders at the G8 Summit in a Shropshire Stately home and decorating a Princes Yacht with flowers in Gibraltar.
I enjoy sharing flower skills and have been teaching floristry and flower arranging over twenty years now, sixteen of these at local further education colleges.
