What you'll do

Make your own silver Trinity Ring (traditionally named a Russian ring) at Hove Jewellery Works. Join us for a fun workshop and learn how to make and lightly texture 3 rings that interlock. This can be made to fit a finger or worn on a chain if preferred. This class is ideal for beginners and those who would like to refresh their jewellery knowledge. Each student will be guided through the process of making and linking together 3 textured rings using hand tools and jewellery making equipment.

Under the guidance of your tutor, you will learn the following skills:

Annealing (heating)
Forming (hammering and shaping)
Soldering
Sizing
Texturing
Filing
Polishing

Prior to the class, we will send you a welcome letter and induction form via email. This will contain all the information you will need for the day. By the end of the class, you'll not only have your beautiful Trinity ring to take home with you, but also a whole set of newfound skills to give you years of enjoyment.

Hove Jewellery Works was founded by experienced jeweller and setter, Mat Brannagan in August 2020 after more than a decade working in the jewellery industry. Mat wanted to create a fun, creative and supportive space where students can come together to learn and explore jewellery techniques from basic bench skills to advanced techniques.

Based in the heart of Hove, Hove Jewellery Works is located in Stockwell Lodge Studios which is approximately 5 minutes walk from Hove train station. The workshop is fully equipped with industry standard tools and machinery. Classes are taught mostly in small groups, allowing for ample quality time with their tutor.
