How can we help?
Q: How many people are on each course?
To ensure plenty of individual guidance, each course is limited to a maximum of four students.
Q: Do I need to attend all three sessions?
Yes. Each week builds on the previous one as you’ll be working on the same pieces throughout the course. Attending all three sessions ensures you experience the complete pottery-making process.
Q: What if I can’t make one of the sessions?
Please get in touch as soon as possible. While I can’t guarantee a catch-up session, I’ll always do my best to find a solution where possible.
Q: Will all of my pieces survive the firing process?
Pottery is a handmade craft, and while every care is taken, clay and kiln firing can sometimes be unpredictable. Although breakages are uncommon, they can occasionally happen and are considered part of the ceramic process.
Q: Is there parking at the studio?
Yes, free parking is available at the studio.
Q: Can I take photos?
an I take photos? Absolutely! You’re very welcome to photograph your pottery and your experience. If you’re sharing on social media, I love seeing your creations—please just be mindful of other guests in the studio.
Q: Can I book with a friend?
Of course. The course is a wonderful experience to enjoy with friends or family, subject to availability.
Q: What's the cancellation policy?
A: Free to cancel or reschedule up until 3 days before the class
Q: How long does the class run for, and what's the price?
A: 3 x 2 hours, £150 per guest

Pottery Throwing
Pottery throwing is the art of shaping clay on a spinning wheel using your hands. It’s a hands-on, mindful process where you’ll learn to centre the clay, form simple shapes, and create your own unique handmade pottery. Whether you’re making a mug, bowl or vase, every piece is one of a kind and made to be used and enjoyed.
Pottery Trimming
Pottery trimming is the stage where your wheel-thrown pottery is refined once the clay has reached a leather-hard stage. Using specialist tools, you’ll remove excess clay, shape the base and create a neatly finished bottom. This careful process improves balance, enhances the form and gives each piece a professional finish. It’s a rewarding step that prepares your pottery for glazing and brings it one step closer to becoming a beautiful, functional ceramic.
Pottery Glazing
Glazing is the final stage of the pottery-making process, where your handmade pieces come to life with colour, texture and a durable finish. You’ll choose from a selection of studio glazes and learn how they transform during the firing process. Once glazed, your pottery is fired for a final time, creating beautiful, functional ceramics that are ready to be enjoyed for years to come. Every piece is uniquely yours.
