You'll develop fundamental sketching techniques and complete your own still-life artwork to proudly display at home.If you've always wanted to try drawing but weren't sure where to start, this workshop provides the perfect foundation. Professional illustrator and artist Ciara Flood guides you through each step, ensuring you feel confident and supported as you discover new artistic skills.Working in a relaxed, friendly environment, you'll learn how to observe objects with an artist's eye whilst experimenting with different mark-making techniques. Your confidence will grow as you explore the versatile properties of charcoal and graphite, creating depth and dimension in your work.This enriching creative experience will open up new ways of seeing the world around you. You'll leave with your own accomplished still-life drawing, plus the practical knowledge and inspiration to continue developing your artistic practice at home.

Two friends who met at the school gates to their sons's primary school and bonded over inset days and coffee. We open The Hive in July 2024. From different worlds, Felicity has a background in craft and spent the last 17 years designing and developing the Christmas bear for Harrods, Jo has spent her career in hospitality and events, making things happen! We have come together to create a Sanctuary in Sanderstead. We both grew up here in Sanderstead, so know how special this community is. We wanted to open somewhere for people to enjoy, relax and create in an ever busy world. We snapped up the opportunity to open a studio in a converted bus shelter! Join us for one of our many workshops, craft, connect, create.We also like to venture outside our little studio and get on the road! If you have a request for a workshop in a venue of your choosing then please give us a shout. We have facilitated workshops for corporate away days and charity team days and would love to help your team days be a memorable event!
