Welcome and Introduction

Welcome and Introduction

Meet Louise and get settled into the studio. Have a drink and hear a rundown of the day's event, an intro to the magic of silver clay, and all the tools you'll be using on this creative journey!

Design Your Sheep

Design Your Sheep

You will learn about the sheep you'll be crafting, working with Louise to choose your design. With gentle guidance, you'll use the tools and get ready to work with felt and clay.

Working With Clay

Working with Clay

You'll mould, shape, sand, and file your sheep's legs, tail, and head, and prepare them for firing. Don't worry -- help will be on hand if you need it!

Fire It Up

Fire It Up

This is where the magic happens. Your pieces will be fired, transforming the clay into silver. The firing removes the binding compound from the clay, leaving your piece to be 99.9% pure silver. This silver is of hallmark quality.

Felt, Polish and Finish

Felt, Polish and Finish

You'll use tools and manually polish and finish to create shining pieces of legs, tail, and head before adding and pulling the felt to create your own cute sheep.

Happy Days!

Herd your sheep and take them home to look after and admire.

I design, make and sell my own unique handmade silver jewellery and also teach how to make silver jewellery.
I began my journey into silver metal clay whilst running a pottery studio and soon became hooked! The magic of turning a piece of clay into a solid piece of Hallmark Standard Silver never fails to amaze me and I love sharing this with my students and helping them create a lovely piece of jewellery that they can wear proudly home makes my job the best. I have worked hard to develop my skills and I strive to work to the highest standard.
I have over twelve years experience and I:
  • am a senior metal clay instructor
  • came third in an international competition held in Tokyo in 2024
  • had one of my jewellery pieces displayed in an exhibition in Tokyo in 2023
  • hold a higher diploma in silver clay
  • teach diploma levels 1 & 2
I mainly teach from my studio in Market Bosworth in Leicestershire. I also teach, and have taught, at various studios around the country including Chatsworth House, London, Nottingham, Northampton, Stratford, Birmingham, Melton Mowbray.
My classes are relaxed and informative, aiming to give all attendees an incredible experience as well as beautiful jewellery to take home with them.
Here’s a taste of what some class attendees have said about me:
“Gifted teacher and guides you through the process with hints and tips for each person along the way and has many years of experience, which comes across”
“She’s amazing”
“Great host”
I would love to meet you on one of my courses so please book as soon as you can.
