Meet Your Tutor
You will be met by Louise, your tutor, who will welcome you, take you to the studio, put you at ease and answer any initial questions you have. You can choose from our curated collection of sea treasures or bring your own special finds, ready to transform them into beautiful, wearable memories.
Capture Nature's Beauty
You start to make your own unique piece of jewellery by moulding and shaping your clay piece around your chosen sea glass. Once you are happy with it, you prepare it for firing. As always, Louise will be around to help you if and when you require it.
The Magic of Firing
This is where the magic happens. Your piece will be fired. You’ll watch as your clay is fired, a magical moment where it turns from a soft material into a solid, hallmark-quality silver piece right before your eyes.
The Finishing Touches
You will add your sea glass to the fired silver and then you will polish your piece to make it sparkle and shine. If your piece needs a jump ring to fit on to a chain then it will be added at this stage.

Step back and admire your handiwork! You’ll leave the workshop with a collection of beautiful, nature-inspired jewellery that tells a story of the sea, ready to wear home with pride.

I design, make and sell my own unique handmade silver jewellery and also teach how to make silver jewellery.I began my journey into silver metal clay whilst running a pottery studio and soon became hooked! The magic of turning a piece of clay into a solid piece of Hallmark Standard Silver never fails to amaze me and I love sharing this with my students and helping them create a lovely piece of jewellery that they can wear proudly home makes my job the best. I have worked hard to develop my skills and I strive to work to the highest standard.I have over twelve years experience and I:
- am a senior metal clay instructor
- came third in an international competition held in Tokyo in 2024
- had one of my jewellery pieces displayed in an exhibition in Tokyo in 2023
- hold a higher diploma in silver clay
- teach diploma levels 1 & 2
