Finalise Your Design

This is where your idea takes shape. You can send us your own one stencil design *48 hours beforehand, or just use one of our ready-made stencils. Whether it's text or a graphic, we'll help you get it ready for printing. No drawing skills needed!

Prepare Your Screen

Prepare Your Screen

Now for the technical bit. We’ll show you how your design is transferred onto a fine mesh screen using a stencil and photo-emulsion, turning it into a reusable print.

Pick Your Inks

Pick Your Inks

Time to choose your colours! We’ve got a range of water-based and plastisol inks. Get your station set up, place your material under the screen, and get ready for the magic part.

Transferring the Design

This is the moment! Grab the squeegee and pull it smoothly across the screen. You'll press the ink through the mesh and onto your material. Lift the screen to reveal your first print!

Dry and cure

Dry and Cure

We'll set your print to dry as you step back and admire your handiwork. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even experiment with a second layer or another colour.

Come and try screen printing in this relaxed and creative workshop, where you’ll learn to screen print your own unique designs from start to finish.
You'll be welcomed into the space and shown examples of finished prints for inspiration, giving you an idea of what's possible. Your friendly tutor will guide and also share a bit about the history of screen printing and show you how versatile this art form is, screen printing can be used on many surfaces such as paper, card, fabric, or even ceramic and wood
You have these options: you can either send your own * ONE colour (stencil) design *48 hours before the workshop, or choose from a selection of *premade designs on the day. Even if you're new to drawing, the tutor will guide you through making a clean, workable layout. Once your design is ready, it will be transferred onto a silk mesh screen using a stencil and photo-emulsion technique. This silk screen becomes a unique, reusable transferring tool like a 'stamp' for screen printing on the day!
This is where the magic begins. You’ll set up your print station, choosing your water-based or *plastisol ink colours. After placing your material under the screen, you’ll be guided on how to transfer the design manually. This technique passes the ink through the mesh and onto your materials surface. Lifting the screen to reveal your first print is always an exciting moment!
After your print dries and has been cured, you can admire your masterpiece. Some workshops may even include time for a second layer or additional colour passes if you want to experiment further.
You'll finish the session with a new set of skills and your very own handmade print, which is perfect for framing, gifting, or wearing proudly. You'll leave feeling inspired, carrying a one-of-a-kind piece that's been made entirely by you.
What you'll get
By the end, you’ll have your very own handmade print perfect for framing, gifting, or wearing proudly. Every piece is one-of-a-kind, just like its creator. (please note the silk screens are not to keep and have not been purchased with your ticket).
