Come and learn to make your own unique solid silver ring from the amazing material that is silver clay. You can choose whether you incorporate a gem. Louise will show you how to size, design, make, and fire your ring into a beautiful solid silver piece ready to wear home.
You will make a patterned ring band and a ring with a stone setting.
Our instructor, Louise, is fully qualified as a senior tutor and holds an Art Clay Higher Diploma and has been teaching jewellery making for over ten years.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced jeweller, Louise is on hand to help you create your own nature design from silver clay. You'll be guided by Louise to help you make your own ring for you to treasure and take away! Louise has a relaxed, informal approach with the aim of having fun as well as learning and creating lovely pieces of jewellery. Please come and experience the course yourself and add a new item to your jewellery collection!
This course is suitable for all kinds of events from a quiet day away immersing yourself in a creative art or for a celebration, team event, hen parties or just a good get together.

None - Louise will be on hand to guide you to make your pieces, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced jeweller. The class size is a maximum of 6, to ensure personal attention can be given to each student.
The course is suitable for
The course is suitable for all adults (male and female), and children (minimum 10 years old). An adult must accompany children and will be expected to take part and pay the course fee.
What to bring
Lunch, or there is a good selection of local eateries within a five-minute walk.
Glasses/spectacles if you need them for close-up work.
It is advisable not to wear open-toed shoes.
Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, team building activity, Christmas party, birthday or hen do.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 10 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids, and must pay for a separate ticket.

I design, make and sell my own unique handmade silver jewellery and also teach how to make silver jewellery.
I began my journey into silver metal clay whilst running a pottery studio and soon became hooked! The magic of turning a piece of clay into a solid piece of Hallmark Standard Silver never fails to amaze me and I love sharing this with my students and helping them create a lovely piece of jewellery that they can wear proudly home makes my job the best. I have worked hard to develop my skills and I strive to work to the highest standard.
I have over twelve years experience and I:
  • am a senior metal clay instructor
  • came third in an international competition held in Tokyo in 2024
  • had one of my jewellery pieces displayed in an exhibition in Tokyo in 2023
  • hold a higher diploma in silver clay
  • teach diploma levels 1 & 2
I mainly teach from my studio in Market Bosworth in Leicestershire. I also teach, and have taught, at various studios around the country including Chatsworth House, London, Nottingham, Northampton, Stratford, Birmingham, Melton Mowbray.
My classes are relaxed and informative, aiming to give all attendees an incredible experience as well as beautiful jewellery to take home with them.
