Rachel Byass Ceramic studio has been open for 38 years. We have a variety of resources and tools to making claying around with pottery a lot of fun. We do wheel throwing pottery, paint your own pottery, parties, events and more.

Rachel also has taught world wide and has also published a book on design for ceramics and more. Rachel's studio is a 200 year old mill that has 5 wheels, clay extrude and slab rollers and lots of other equipment.

A great experience using a gift voucher from hubbyRachel was very informative and patient, sharing her ideas. The venue is ideal, all the equipment we needed and more! I made a vase and look forward to seeing the result when it's fired. Good to meet new people and felt ok as a solo pupil Really enjoyed the 2 hours and would recommend.

Lovely environment to learn. This was a birthday present for our 12 year old and it was perfect , the class had a large age range and adults and kids alike really enjoyed being able to produce a pot on the wheel ! Big recommendaction from us

I recently attended this pottery class and had an amazing experience! Rachel was knowledgeable, patient, and made the material easy to understand. The class was well-structured, and i felt like i learned a lot in just a few hours. An overall great experience and would highly recommend!

We did the half day wheel throwing class with Rachel. There were 4 of us: 2 adults, 2 kids (plus a baby). Rachel was very accommodating and helpful. We each made and painted 2 beautiful items: bowls, pen pots and plant pots.

Fantastic full day of pottery throwing.
Bought it for my partners birthday and then decided to also come along. It doesn’t disappoint shown step by step of what to do Rachel was brilliant showing patience when i had forgotten a bit.
Need to take packed lunch apron is provided.
I’m glad I went in joggers has it gets messy.
Would definitely do it again

Had an excellent half day session yesterday with Rachel. Made 2 products, a dog bowl and a regular bowl. My parter made a mug and a cereal bowl. There was a huge amount of options of things for us to make. Rachel was an incredibly good teacher and lovely to talk to throughout the day. I have never thrown before but by the second pot I was making surprising progress. Would recommend for people of all skill levels as Rachel's teaching style is incredibly adaptable.

Just had an amazing half day with Rachel Byass, who very patiently guided myself and partner the art of pot making, from throwing clay onto the wheel to painting the finished "work of art". Very friendly and so knowledgeable.
Would highly recommend one think ticked off our bucket list
