Create your own mug and plate using hand-building techniques.

3.5 hours Class size 1 to 2     label £80 - £160 (£80 per , £160 per 2 people)

Join me, Katie of KP Studio, for a pottery class in my Brighton studio. In this half-day workshop, you'll learn how to create your very own one-of-a-kind mug and plate using traditional slab-building techniques. We'll also explore surface textures through mark making and pressing with foraged foliage - think foraged leaves, gnarled twigs, and rocks.

Don't worry if you're a beginner - all levels and abilities are welcome. This class is designed to be a welcoming and uplifting experience. You'll have the chance to roll your sleeves up, let your mind switch off, and really connect with the act of making with a material drawn from the earth.

Throughout the workshop, I'll guide you through each step of the process, ensuring you feel confident and supported. We'll work with high-quality materials and tools to create very own unique breakfast set.

After the workshop, your finished pieces will be glazed and fired, ready for collection within 4 weeks.

Join me in this transformative pottery class in Brighton studio and rediscover the joy of creating something with your own hands. Unleash your creativity and connect with the earth in a meaningful way. Come and join me for a truly enriching workshop experience!

KP Studio is about finding beauty in the everyday. Since growing up in rural Hampshire, I’ve felt a strong affinity with the natural world, which manifests in the earthy textures, patterns, materials and muted tones you see in my work.

After studying printmaking at the University of Brighton, it felt like an organic progression to marry lino-cutting techniques with the tactile surface of clay. Today, it’s my goal to sidestep trends and subvert mass production by embracing slow, low-waste design processes that celebrate irregularity, champion Earth and, together, form one-off homewares pieces that can be cherished for a lifetime.

My collections are all very personal to me, each representing stories and memories, while they also chart my experimentation with various clays, stains, patterns and glazes. Keep your eye out for new designs!

I look forward to meeting you on my creative journey.
Warmest wishes, Katie
