I have to admit I didn’t go in with high expectations as I’m not artsy or creative and thought I’d find it a bit boring but honestly I had so much fun. Raquel is such an amazing teacher and really made us feel so at ease. The music and lighting was also a really nice touch, made me feel really relaxed. Will definitely be recommending to friends and family

We have nibbles and prosecco ok arrival along with soft drinks then we were shown on what we could work on. She had shown us her shop and designs from previous students so we can take some inspiration from. The studio was clean and so modern it was in a lovely location and the chilled music playlist was great! We met some lovely people in the class I would definitely recommend this workshop. Thank you Raquel.

So much freedom to create whatever you wanted, and the teacher was very helpful when required, but also left you to get on with your masterpiece. Will no doubt be coming back to make something else! Really gorgeous setting too, and the drinks and nibbles at the start were a very lovely touch
  • 4/5 from Lesley Martin, attended Jun 2026: This was a great pottery workshop in a lovely setting. The teacher was helpful and very easy to engage with. We would have liked a little more information before the session about what to expect and the content of the workshop. Also, more information on accessing the actual site and a booking confirmation email. The website could have been more extensive. All in all, very enjoyable.

  • 5/5 from Leah, attended Apr 2026: Great workshop hosted by raquel, lots of help and advice along the way but the right amount of freedom to get creative yourself. It was very light hearted and had a very warm welcoming. Lovely space too will return again and spread the word, wish you all the best In your new space
  • 5/5 from Ellen Sayers, attended Apr 2026: Raquel was a very welcoming host and knowledgeable teacher. Lovely space which is being expanded. 2 hours was plenty of time to have a nibble and a glass of Prosecco whilst looking at items on display and having techniques explained so we could make an informed decision about what we were going to make that evening. If we changed our minds halfway through not a problem, Raquel was very encouraging and on board to think up new ideas. If we hit any snags Raquel asked whether we would like to be guided through fixes or whether we wanted her to step in. Lovely to see other customers engaged in what others were making and an overall very friendly environment. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to see our final products!!

I’ve always believed that working with clay is more than just making something beautiful. It’s a way to slow down, reconnect with your hands, and find a little peace in a busy world.
My journey with pottery began 3 years ago when I took my first class at college to de-stress and find a moment to connect with myself. From the moment I touched my first lump of clay, I was hooked. There was something profoundly grounding about the process, messy, humbling and full of small victories, and I knew I had found my passion.
Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to honing my craft and sharing it with others.
One of the things I love most about teaching is watching that moment when a student feels the clay respond to their hands for the first time. No matter how many times I see it, it never gets old. Pottery has taught me patience, resilience and the beauty of imperfection and I’m passionate about helping others discover the same.
I feel so grateful to be part of a wonderful local group of talented artists (Art in Dunchurch) and to have had my work included in several group exhibitions. But the most rewarding part of this journey is seeing students leave my class with a sense of pride and accomplishment (and sometimes, a little clay still on their clothes).
Whether you’re curious to try pottery for the first time or looking to deepen your skills, I’d love to welcome you into the studio and help you discover what you can create.
THANKS FOR LETTING ME SPREAD MY LOVE FOR CLAY!
