Painting from Within - Century Soho

Have you ever wished you could press pause on the world for a moment?There are moments when life becomes so loud that we lose touch with the quiet voice within us.Painting From Within grew from my own creative practice, from discovering how painting can become a space to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with parts of ourselves that are often difficult to reach through words.For me, painting has never only been about making an image. It has been a way of processing what I feel, making space for emotions, and allowing something unexpected to emerge. Over time, I’ve learned that when we let go of the need to make something “good” or “perfect, ” the act of creating can become deeply freeing.This workshop is an invitation to experience that for yourself.Rather than teaching you how to paint a particular subject or technique, I’ll guide you through meditation, reflection, and intuitive painting exercises designed to help you quiet the outside world and turn your attention inward.You don’t need to know how to paint. You don’t need to consider yourself an artist. And there is no right or wrong thing to create.There is simply a canvas, a moment of stillness, and the freedom to see what wants to come through.During our two hours together, we will:

• Arrive and ground ourselves through gentle music
• Move through a guided meditation
• Explore reflective journaling prompts
• Paint intuitively on a 30 × 30 cm canvas
• Create without judgement, expectations, or the pressure to make something “perfect”
• End with optional sharing and reflection

I want this to feel less like a painting class and more like a pause, a space where you can breathe, become curious about what is happening within you, and reconnect with your own creative voice. You might arrive feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply in need of a moment for yourself. You might leave with a painting you never expected to make, a feeling you didn’t know was waiting to surface, or simply a little more space inside yourself.Whatever emerges is yours.No previous art experience is needed. Whether you are completely new to painting or already have an established creative practice, you are welcome.All materials are included, and sessions are intentionally kept small to create an intimate, supportive environment.Come as you are.
