One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

Recent reviews of One-to-one Cricut Workshop

  • 5/5 from Sharon Jackson, attended Jul 2026: I needed an introduction to the software for my Cricut machine and Christina was able to show me easily how to use it and give me tips
  • 1/5 from Nasrullah Khan, attended Jul 2026: Total waste of time and money. It is not a work shop but a talking shop. The teacher was unable to show any practical spy. She said teacher is not provided with any facility to print and cut. What is the use of the class. Travelled all the way from Cambridge. Never again.
  • 5/5 from Jayanthi Mohan, attended Mar 2026: The teacher, Ms C, was absolutely fantastic. She was very patient and explained everything clearly, making it easy to follow along. I really appreciated how she showed us the materials needed and even recommended where to buy them from Hobbycraft. Her demonstration was excellent and very engaging. My boys enjoyed it so much and felt confident that he now want to get the Cricut machine she suggested—truly an amazing experience!
  • 1/5 from Rachel Tutton, attended Oct 2025: My class was cancelled on the very last minute (about 3 hours before the class) despite having reminders the night before. This was apparently due to the store refit which apparently started a day earlier than planned. I was not impressed I was given hardly any notice then to receive reminders about doing a review of a class I didn't do made it worse!
  • 5/5 from Susie Basinger, attended Sep 2025: Absolutely amazing. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and really patient. She had every answer to even my silliest questions. I cant wait to book my next class. I would highly recommend to everyone

I went to the Stevenage branch and met a lovely lady called Christina who gave me the confidence to want to purchase a cricut and do more projects at home. Thanks again
  • 5/5 from Mrs Georgette Knights, attended Jan 2025: A great workshop. I am new to the Cricut world and I learned loads. Thank you

  • 5/5 from Debbie Carr, attended Apr 2024: Very good, relaxed, and informative Solved all the problems I was having Would recommend for new joy owners
  • 5/5 from Charlotte Eagles, attended Dec 2023: The lady who taught me was really kind and helpful. She asked me if I had anything in particular that I wanted to know and answered all my questions. I have definitely come away happy knowing what I now know from doing the workshop.
  • 5/5 from Thushi Ragulan, attended Nov 2023: Christina was very helpful and answered all our questions and doubts. Would recommend this workshop.
  • 5/5 from Sarah Bentley, attended Nov 2023: Amazing, very easy to understand instructions. Certainly gone away looking forward to creating with my joy.
  • 3/5 from Amanda Aylott, attended Nov 2023: I didn’t feel I learnt very much tbh, Amy was good, but when I got home I wasn’t able to transfer what she taught me… I feel a day long workshop and step by step tuition alongside using the app and cricut joy would be so much better. I’d be happy to pay more for a longer workshop.
  • 5/5 from Lee Clegg, attended Oct 2023: Sue new her products materials and tools. She delivered a good workshop with good ideas and suggestions.
  • 3/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2023: First - the teachers were fantastic - keen, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, experienced. Unfortunately - and this was beyond their control - the workshop had to take place on the shop floor so we were naturally constantly interrupted by customers asking for help (which had to be given, of course). Also, the blade on the machine was blunt and so we didn't manage to cut anything until the third try, which took up a lot of time. Design Space was demonstrated on an iPad - I use it on my PC and there was no opportunity to use the program in my preferred way. I would have liked to have been able to sit down during the workshop rather than stand throughout. There was no opportunity for Print-then-Cut to be demonstrated. Just to reiterate, this is not at all critical of the two teachers just the situation/circumstances.
  • 5/5 from Sarah Wood, attended Sep 2023: Sam was fantastic at going through and explaining exactly what I needed to know, and had a great knowledge of the machines, design space and materials. I’ve come away with a confidence in what I’m able to do!
  • 5/5 from Angie Crockford, attended Jul 2023: Sam is a wonderful teacher. I learned everything I needed to know and more. She was very knowledgeable and answered my many, many questions patiently and with enthusiasm - I really picked her brain! She demonstrated the different machines and tailored the demo to what I wanted to learn. She was helpful and friendly and made the session really fun! She was also a great sales person because, rather than selling to me, she helped me to buy. I ended up buying loads of stuff but it was all things that I needed to create the projects I wanted to do so, although I spent a lot, it was all money well spent and I have saved on not having to rely on trial error! She is an asset to Hobbycraft and Cricut.
  • 5/5 from Valerie Smith, attended Jul 2023: Sam was amazing, now have all the information to start the projects I was nervous about and some that I hadn't even thought of!
  • 5/5 from Kirstie Grundy, attended Jul 2023: Sam took our workshop. She was amazing. Asked us numerous times if we understood or if we wanted to know certain things. She went over our allotted time to make sure she covered everything we wanted to know. Would definitely recommend her and this workshop

  • 5/5 from Marie Chapman, attended Feb 2023: The lady who did my course was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions clearly.
  • 5/5 from Sarah Valentine, attended Aug 2022: I had a session with Ams who showed me how to use the Cricut Joy and the Design Space app. Ams showed me what different materials I can use, how to load the materials, how to design things using the app and we did some cutting and lettering using the pen. I would definitely recommend this session, I found it really useful and may book another session once I’m a bit more familiar with my Cricut! Thanks Ams!
  • 5/5 from Tomi Odumeru, attended Aug 2022: I've had the Maker3 but couldn't get my head round it's proper use hence, booked one of the 1-1 workshop. Ams was great and took her time to explain in detail every aspect of the machine as well as practically going through some demonstration. I left feeling more confident to try out new projects.

  • 5/5 from Yolande Staden, attended Oct 2021: Hannah was a fantastic and very knowledgeable trainer. She explained in detail how the machine, designer software and various materials work and also great advice in terms of the different functionalities between each machine available. She also mentioned the support Hobby Craft provides if you purchase a machine from them which is great. Really enjoyed it and can't wait to get started.
  • 5/5 from Miroslava Budin, attended Oct 2021: Very relaxed and useful session. Hannah was very helpful answering all my questions and giving me ideas. Would definitely book again when I have a specific project in mind. Thank you Hannah
  • 5/5 from Sue Davis, attended Oct 2021: My teacher was Hannah. She was so patient and knowledgeable. There wasn't anything she didn't know about The Cricut Maker cutting machine. Once she ascertained what I wanted she tailored her tuition accordingly. This was excellent value for money. 1:1 tuition for £10. No hard sales or pressure to buy. This is a 5 star plus review. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Kathryn Aresti, attended Sep 2021: Firstly the teacher, Hannah, was great, she was knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. I brought along my own Cricut Joy which was lucky as the Joy wasn’t an available machine but that wasn’t an issue as I had my own. The materials provided were great and helped in my learning. We created 2 things and spoke about the Cricut design app. The venue was great, we had a private space that was suitable for the workshop.
  • 3/5 from Heather Keys, attended Sep 2021: I spent a interesting hour - one to one - with Hannah. I can see what a circuit cutter does now, nor sure if I want one at present, a lot of computer work involved. We made 2 pieces of art work- I would have liked to pick the colours but it was a demonstration. Well worth the fee, least days prices
  • 5/5 from Nicki Hewitt-Hart, attended Aug 2021: My daughter had a wonderful session with Hannah today. She is new to Cricut and is only 10 years old. Hannah was kind an considerate and used inclusive methods so that my daughter could follow along at a child’s pace, yet drumming some of the techniques into me so that I can adequately support at home. We are really looking forward to booking another session with Hannah/ the hobbycraft team once we have had some time to experiment with our newest learnt skills. Thank you ever so much for the excellent service. Persephone and mum.
  • 5/5 from Cheryl Aiken, attended Aug 2021: Hannah made my visit to the workshop for my Cricut machine I bought very good and at ease. She went through everything with me and we made a couple of items that I put in my project. I feel a lot better now I've had the tuition and I'm sure I'll go back again for some more tuition. Many thanks Hannah
