One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Rosemary Hakesley, attended Aug 2026: Answered all my questions and explained layering technique, also a discussion about why 'errors' occured whilst I was using various products with my cricut machine.
  • 5/5 from Jo Brent, attended Aug 2026: Excellent teacher whose knowledge of cricut was vast. Would definitely recommend this one hour lesson to get you started as a beginner
  • 3/5 from Carol Stefaniak, attended Mar 2026: The lady who took the class was very good and helpful. The problem was with the Wi-Fi. When she was showing how to use the machine with the tablet the Wi-Fi was so poor that there were long periods of time when we were just waiting for the circle to stop going round and round. This happened a lot. When you only have an hour this takes out a lot of that time which is wasted. I felt that we would have been shown more if this worked better. The lady taking the workshop tried her best. The other thing was that you had to stand. It was not comfortable. You are just leaning onto the worktop There is a large work table and it would be better to be able to sit down.
  • 5/5 from Lorna Howell, attended Jan 2026: The workshop was exactly what I wanted with Shannon tailoring the session to thoroughly explain the design centre. She then proceeded to demonstrate the way to make designs and how to file them along with then producing two stencils for me to take away.
  • 4/5 from Doreen Cole, attended Oct 2025: The teacher was fine and explained things well, we did not get to do anything as we could not connect in the shop. This was a shame as she was going to show me something we had made up but was unable to complete this task
  • 5/5 from Paul Ellender, attended Sep 2025: The session was great. Very helpful.
  • 5/5 from Tasneem Sharif, attended Jul 2025: I had a fantastic time we made a cake topper used card and vinyl, Shannon was my tutor and was absolutely brilliant thankyou
  • 5/5 from Melanie Brown, attended Jun 2025: I recently attended a Cricut One-to-One Workshop at the Solihull branch, and it was such a valuable experience. Vanessa, my guide, was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She really took the time to understand what I needed and helped me figure out which machine would be the best fit. By the end of the session, I felt so much clearer and inspired. It opened my eyes to just how many creative projects are possible with a Cricut! If you're unsure which machine to go for or want to see what's really possible, I’d definitely recommend booking a session. It was absolutely worth it.
  • 3/5 from Ozma Shazia, attended Jul 2024: The laptop did not work properly and was playing up. So a lot of time was sent getting it to work. But I was shown how to cut a leopard outline image which was interesting. And a few other hints and tips. I left my details to rebook to make up for lost time. I have not heard. The lady Debbs who was teaching me was amazing very helpful and full of knowledge. She had the cricut machine set up. All great apart from the glitch on laptop. All materials are provided. Hobby craft I am not happy with you not providing a proper laptop with a big screen to see and work from. Instead a tiny weeny 9/10 inch screen. You’re good to take money but not provide a better laptop for the experience. Venue is lovely they have a lift to get upstairs to the work table. Loads of free parking as it’s a shopping complex.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jan 2024: Shannon helped us, two novices, with good explanations of how to use the features of the Cricut Maker 3. We left with a greater understanding of Design Space and have since successfully completed projects.
  • 4/5 from Elaine Powell, attended Jan 2024: We went knowing nothing about the process of mug printing and came away with knowledge of a couple of ways to achieve it. All our questions were answered, even after our time slot, as we looked at the products on sale. We were given hands on experience which I feel is always the best way of leaning. Thankyou. She was kind and patient with us.
