Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Lorna Stephen, attended Oct 2026: I booked the CriCut tutorial at the Inverness store so I could learn how to use a Joy machine for work and home projects. Demi, the instructor, was lovely and very informative. They showed me how to use the App to create window decals and iron on transfers. This demo was relative to using the machine to make other crafts too and was super helpful. I would definitely recommend booking the instore demos. I am a physical learner so watching videos online doesn’t always make it click for me. I will keep an eye out for future presentations instore.
  • 5/5 from Maria Heath, attended May 2026: Was really great with lots of advice of which vinyls to use and do and do nots with each one. Shown how to plan and print a project even asked if we would like to see how to do cards that I’d spoken about in the class. Highly recommended

Loved it so much I think I will book it for someone else I know.
  • 4/5 from Lesley, attended Nov 2024: I had a 1-1 lesson to go through the basics of how to use my cricut maker as I am a complete newbie. It was really good & I learnt the basics of how to get started. My teacher was very knowledgeable, friendly and chatty. The class would benefit being away from the shop floor as customers were coming up & disturbing our lesson, I found this quite disruptive to the lesson. This happened several times & I do feel that the these lessons would benefit from being away from the shop floor. Apart from this, the lesson was very informative & I really enjoyed it. With help & advice from my teacher, I bought a mug press, mugs, presses & other cricut things to get me started on my crafting journey. Thank you for a very pleasant lesson.
  • 5/5 from Mairi Macleod, attended Sep 2024: My slot was at 2pm, I was taken to the machine and realised we would be standing for the hour, for health reasons this would have been very difficult so Demi searched the store to find a suitable perch for me, which I appreciated. We started with the basics then, we focused on my specific questions which were all answered and demonstrated in an understandable way. We had our pets in common and shared photographs at the end which was lovely.
