Held the day before Mothering Sunday, this workshop is a lovely opportunity to spend time with someone special — whether that’s your mum, a family member, a friend, or simply yourself. You can also create a handmade gift for someone you cherish.Enjoy a relaxed and inspiring morning learning traditional silver jewellery techniques with tutor Jan Richardson. With over 45 years’ experience and as co-author of Silver Jewellery Making, Jan brings deep expertise and a warm, encouraging teaching style. During the workshop, you’ll learn to make either:
- A pair of personalised earrings, choosing from a selection of focus beads, or
- Two silver rings, selecting from three different styles — perfect for stacking or gifting.

What to bring
Closed shoes are essential. Everything is included, but if you have a focus bead you would like to use, then do bring that.

If travelling by car we have free parking. If coming by train we are ten minutes walk from West Drayton station on the Elizabeth Line.
Your teacher
Southlands Arts Centre is a wonderful Queen Anne Grade 2 listed building with extensive, beautiful grounds. It is the perfect backdrop for all creative people. The Centre is used by people and groups who engage in cultural activities across the fine arts, music, photography, film, and craft design. We are well known for our exhibitions held throughout the year and attract some amazing artists (many local) who regularly exhibit their work at the Centre. We are also the home for The West London Photo Exhibition and SouthlandsLIVE.
