Forget your average sip and paint. Sushi, Sip and Paint: Find Peace in Painting is a small, intimate watercolour series designed to help you slow down, unplug, and reconnect with a slower pace — one Saturday at a time.
Running every third Saturday from September through December, each session centres on a different floral palette, painted from fresh flowers supplied by Orchidya.
You'll start with a welcome glass of wine, settle in with beginner-paced, step-by-step guidance, and break midway through for sushi before finishing your piece.
No art experience is needed — just a willingness to relax and let the paint flow. Whether you're completely new to watercolour or looking for a low-pressure way to unwind, this class is built to meet you where you are.
Each month's theme builds on the last, though every session also stands alone, so you're welcome to join for one Saturday or the full series:
September — Rustic Eucalyptus & Foliage: a simple, bold still life in shades of green, perfect for building confidence with your first subject
October — Orange Dahlias: layered petals and warm autumnal tones exploring warmth and abundance
November — Amaryllis: rich, saturated colour layering in this dramatic winter bloom
December — Festive Flowers: bringing the series together in one finished, festive piece
Come as you are. Leave with a painting, a little more peace, and maybe a new Saturday ritual.

FAQ

Do I need to attend every session, or can I join just one?
You're welcome to book a single session or the full series — each month's theme stands alone, so there's no need to have attended a previous class to enjoy the next.
What if I don't drink alcohol?
No problem — a non-alcoholic alternative is available on request, just let us know when booking or on the day.
Is the sushi suitable for dietary requirements or allergies?
We can accommodate most dietary needs and allergies with advance notice — just get in touch before the session so we can arrange it.
See more FAQs
How big are the classes?
Sessions are kept small and intimate to allow for personal guidance and a relaxed pace — this isn't a big-group, assembly-line experience.
What should I wear?
Watercolour is a fairly mess-free medium, but we'd suggest avoiding anything you're precious about, just in case.
Will my painting be dry by the end of the session?
Watercolour can take a little time to fully dry. We'll guide you on how to transport it safely, and it should be fully set within a day or two at home.
Is this a good fit for a date, a gift, or a solo outing?
All of the above — guests come solo, in pairs, and in small groups. It's designed to feel calm and welcoming whichever way you're joining us.
