Hello, I’m Mercy, a calligrapher originally from Hong Kong and now based in the UK. I’ve been living here for the past two years, teaching calligraphy at the beautiful Leeds Corn Exchange.
I began my calligraphy journey in 2017, and since then I’ve had the joy of sharing this art with people from all walks of life. Over the years, I’ve organised and led more than 400 workshops, guiding participants to discover the beauty of letters, gold, and creativity.
For me, calligraphy is not only about writing but also about connecting history, craftsmanship, and personal expression. I love bringing traditional techniques — such as gilding with real gold — into modern workshops where everyone can create something meaningful and unique.
