Hi, I'm Maryam, the baker behind Maska.

My journey into baking began in New York City, where I started Maska while working full-time in finance. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into something much more meaningful, sparking a passion that eventually led me to rethink my career entirely. During that time, I hosted bakery pop-ups, created custom celebration cakes, and provided corporate catering for events, building a community around thoughtfully crafted desserts.

After moving to London, I decided to pursue baking full-time and enrolled in pastry school to refine my skills and deepen my understanding of the craft.

Today, through Maska, I create custom celebration cakes and host immersive cake decorating experiences, including my signature Cake Embroidery Experience. Designed for all skill levels, this experience combines creativity, mindfulness, and connection, giving participants the opportunity to slow down, learn a unique decorating technique, and leave with a beautifully decorated cake of their own.

Whether I'm baking a custom cake or leading a workshop, my goal is always the same: to create memorable experiences that bring people together through beautiful, handcrafted desserts.
