Hi, I’m Leila! I’m a London-based traditional artist specializing in watercolor portraiture. My creative journey began early, inspired by my mother, and grew into a passion for capturing authentic human warmth through pigment, light, and delicate layering.

By day, I work as a professional chef in London—a background that heavily shapes my practical, deliberate approach to painting. I believe watercolor doesn't have to be unpredictable or intimidating. By breaking down complex faces into simple value planes, moisture control, and wet-in-wet techniques, I help students strip away the fear of portraiture and paint with confidence.

As a self-taught artist who exhibited in the Fragments of Her showcase at Espacio Gallery in March 2026, I teach from real, hands-on experience rather than rigid theory. Whether you are picking up a brush for the first time or looking to refine your skin-tone glazing, my workshops focus on clear, actionable methods in a relaxed, encouraging environment.
