Marbling Yorkshire

I am a Traditional Turkish Art of Marbling on paper/fabric tutor. I have been working as a ‘Marbling Instructor’ since I graduated from Dokuz Eylul University Graduate School of Fine Arts in Turkey in 2008. My courses and workshops always receive excellent feedback and are incredibly popular around Yorkshire.I have been teaching at the University of Leeds in the LOGIK Centre (staff centre), Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery at the University of Leeds, Nostell Priory, ArtisOn in Masham, Hull History Centre, Ebberston Studios, Walkington Primary School, Cottingham Croxby Primary School, Seamer Irton Primary School, Barmby Moor Primary School, Beverley East Riding College, Bridlington East Riding College, Youth Farmers Club, Wheldrake Women's Institute, Ash Trees Academy for children with special needs, and Pontefract Museum Marbling on paper workshop.My marbling on paper materials are organic handmade pigments. Earth colors are sprinkled using handmade brushes made of rose stalks and horsehair on the surface of the special thickened water with seaweed in the trough. The floating pattern is taken off on paper after being reshaped and retouched using pins, needles, and combs.Marbling is not only fun and exciting, but it is also very therapeutic. All participants learn the history of traditional Ebru marbling.I supply all the equipment and materials required.Marbling workshops are suitable for both children and adults.
