Your teacher
I am a textile artist based in the West Midlands, UK. I have particular fondness for the textures of wool and textiles and my work often reflects inspiration from organic forms within nature.I have been felting and teaching workshops for over 18 years and am a member of the International Feltmakers Association. A trained teacher, I also have a Masters in Art, Health and Wellbeing and this underpins my belief that we can all take time out to relax and fulfil our potential.I am a regular tutor at MAC, Birmingham and also give talks about the craft of feltmaking. I also teach and exhibit at museums and art galleries too. I have worked with groups focussing on mental health and traumatic bereavement issues. I have been interviewed several times on the radio and featured on 'Kirstie's Handmade Christmas' a few years ago!Whatever a person's skill level I aim to encourage them gently and build confidence to take time out, explore a beautiful craft and have a sense of relaxation and achievement.
