Handmade Fever started off with me being interested in making traditional soap! After learning to make natural handmade soap and trying it on myself and my children, I was amazed by the results! In particular, when I used the soap on my 3-year-old little boy who suffered from eczema, I noticed that the eczema disappeared! I had used all the prescribed creams and bath liquids from my GP and my local pharmacy, but they only worked for a bit, and as soon as I stopped using those products, the eczema seemed to come back with a vengeance! This is when I realized that the issue was the products that used chemicals, whether prescribed or not, and for my son who had sensitive skin, it was causing eczema. From then on, over the years, I started working on all products that I and my family could use that were all natural… from handmade perfume, deodorant, shampoo bars, and even hair conditioners and was amazed at the results. I then started making everything as I grew to love craft again! Being a teacher for 22 years, I had stopped working on my craft skills, but it came back after making soaps. And now I make everything from natural skincare, silver jewelry, beaded jewelry, candles, designing t-shirts with rhinestones, etc.
