I’m Maddi, I’m a 30 year old baker from south London and I started Maddi’s Cakes nearly 10 years ago.

Baking has been part of my life long before I started the business, as I’m the oldest of 4 and my mum used to bake all of our birthday cakes from scratch each year. We’re known to bring desserts with us most places we go!

At 16 I was diagnosed with endometriosis, a condition that caused me immense pain, which baking helped take my mind off and distract me. Making and decorating gave me some peace and I’ve been doing it ever since!

My mum and sister joined as the demand came, and we’ve been a family run business for over 5 years now.

I’ve always loved the idea of teaching classes for adults and children, to do Hen Do’s or kids birthday parties and I can’t wait to bring my expertise and knowledge to each class whether it’s for biscuits, cupcakes or gorgeous mini cakes!
