What you'll do
In this fun lino printing class in Birmingham, come and learn tips and tricks on how to carve designs of all shapes and sizes into linoleum, and use them to print your own design onto a product of your choice. Make your own set of stamps to create repeat patterns, or carve an intricate design and print as a block. You don't need any crafty experience to join -- it's completely beginner-friendly, and you'll receive expert guidance every step of the way. It's a fun and relaxed workshop, and would make a lovely gift for yourself, or someone special in your life!What to expect:
- The class starts promptly, so it would be good to turn up a few minutes earlier to get yourselves settled in and we can make you a cuppa!
- Get carving and printing like an expert, with plenty of guidance on hand.
- Choose a project such as: tea towel, tote bag, greeting cards, bookmarks or gift tags!
- Enjoy music and light refreshments to make the day extra special.
- Safety: Although our workshops are very safe there are still some elements of lino cutting that can be dangerous, you must follow all safety instructions we give during the class.
- The workshop takes place upstairs so if you have any trouble with stairs, please arrive a little earlier and let us know, we’ll be happy to help.
- Dietary requirements: Cake from the Earlybird Bakery plus soft and hot drinks will be provided, please ensure you have informed us of any dietary requirements a week in advance so we can arrange for alternative milk etc.
