A hands-on linocut printmaking workshop in London, inspired by the world around us. Each month explores a different theme: from everyday objects and nature to architecture, people, and the stories hidden within our surroundings.
This month’s theme: London Architecture.
Together, we’ll explore some of London’s most iconic buildings and choose one to turn into a linocut print. We’ll provide a selection of templates featuring landmarks such as the National Theatre, Barbican, Tate Modern, and more. Or, if you already have a favourite London building in mind, you’re welcome to create your own design. We’ll guide you through the design process, helping you simplify architectural details, shapes, and silhouettes into a print-ready composition.
You don't need any print making experience to join.
What to expect:
  • An introduction to key design principles, including composition, positive and negative space, line quality, forms, and silhouettes.
  • Learn how to observe shapes and translate them into strong visual compositions.
  • Learn the fundamentals of linocut printmaking and a little bit of its history, covering the tools, materials, safety guidance, and a range of carving techniques.
  • Learn how to create different marks, textures, and visual effects using traditional relief printing methods.
  • Transfer your design onto a linoleum block and begin carving under step-by-step guidance!
  • Ink your block and experiment with hand-printing techniques to produce a series of prints.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own hand-carved linocut block which you can use plenty more times after and a collection of printed pieces, which can be used as greeting cards, mini posters, gift wrap, or framed artwork.

Allhands was founded in 2024 with a simple belief: creativity belongs to everyone. From our studio in Westferry, East London, we bring people together to share meaningful, enjoyable time. It is a space where we collaborate, learn, create, and socialise.
Our sessions are more than just workshops. We introduce the fundamentals of art and design, helping you explore core principles such as colour, line, form, silhouette, and composition. Whether you're a complete beginner or already creative, we aim to expand your artistic perspective while guiding you through a hands-on experience.
We run over 10 different creative workshops, including lino printing, collage making, charm making, lino print coaster making, mono printing, and more. Each is designed to spark creativity in a fun and accessible way.
By the end of each workshop, you will not only have learned something new but also leave with your own unique piece of work.
We’ve worked with global brands such as Philips and Adidas, and have hosted thousands of participants so far.
No experience is required. We provide everything you need. Just bring yourself and your curiosity.
Every piece you create is part of your personal creative journey, and every outcome is valuable in its own way. There is no right or wrong: only exploration, expression, and discovery. We’re here with you every step of the way.
