Looking for a special treat for your weekend? Learn to bake a delicious tiramisu at this online cooking class. You'll be guided through the whole process from the comfort of your own kitchen by expert tutor, Luca.

If you're keen to impress your guests at your next dinner party with an extra special dessert, or if you just want to treat yourself or a loved one with a tasty pud at home, this online baking class is an ideal choice.

Italian cooking tutor Luca will show you how to make this beautiful and unique tiramisu recipe, taking you through each stage step by step. The recipe you'll make is a little different from the traditional one, with a slight twist that will make the resulting flavour even more remarkable!

Once you've mastered this easy and quick recipe, it will soon become a go-to! It can be stored in the fridge for up to three days so you can indulge your desire for an additional bite more than once!

You can accompany your tiramisu dish with a sweet wine, such as Marsala Wine, Port or Passito. Get ready to tuck in! By the end of your baking class, you'll have a beautiful dish of tiramisu to enjoy and all the knowledge and skills you need to make it again independently.

What to bring
Ingredients (for 7-8 portions). If you'd like to make a smaller portion, simply divide the measurements in half (but don't forget you might want an extra portion for yourself!):

  • 500g mascarpone cheese (tutor Luca recommends Galbani or Granarolo if you can find it in your local Italian grocery shop).
  • 4 x eggs (they need to be very fresh and preferably organic).
  • 200g Savoiardi biscuits or lady's fingers.
  • 200g "Pan Di Stelle" biscuits (you can find these in any Italian shop) alternatively any other cocoa-based biscuits without a chocolate coating will do the trick or you can omit this ingredient and just use the Savoiardi biscuits.
  • 100g caster sugar.
  • 250ml coffee with 1 x tablespoon of sugar (prepare this in advance and let it cool down).
  • 2 x tablespoons cocoa powder.
  • 1 x tsp vanilla extract.

Utensils
  • 2 x big bowls.
  • Electric mixer or whisk (teacher Luca highly recommends an electric whisk to save time and energy and to get a better final result).
  • 8 x empty jars or nice deep glasses (Luca likes to serve the tiramisu individually in jars or glasses - it looks very pretty and elegant and avoids any mess when serving. If you don't have glasses or jars, a large ceramic tray will do the trick).
  • 1 x big spoon.
  • Sifter or sieve.
