Learn to cook from the comfort of your own kitchen with this 12-part online cooking course.

Suitable for beginners, this cooking course will give you the knowledge and techniques you need to create a series of staple dishes to make at home.

Ideal for anyone who would like to master some new cooking skills
for teens set to leave home, - for children aged 11+ keen to get cooking, - teenagers taking part in Duke of Edinburgh Awards and require a skill for 3 months.

This class helps you build your cooking ability to make delicious dishes with confidence.

Through 12 practical sessions, you'll learn to create a series of easy-to-prepare meals. Cook along with your teacher with your camera on or off and interact as much or as little as you like.

You'll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get lots of tips and guidance from your friendly teacher as you progress through your cooking classes.

You'll receive a list of ingredients before each class so you can have everything ready for your cooking sessions. You'll learn to weigh and prepare your ingredients for cooking as part of your class.

The dishes you'll cook at each of your 12 cooking classes are:

9/1 Tomato and lentil soup with garlic bread

16/1 Spicy rice one pot and chapatis

23/1 Pizza, wedges and coleslaw

30/1 Pancakes and fruit filling

6/2 Vegetable fajitas and tortillas

20/2 Toad in the Hole and onion gravy

27/2 Katsu curry (veg or chicken)

5/3 Beef or soy mince lasagne

12/3 Vegetable quiche and salad

19/3 Baked sponge and custard

Easter Holidays

9/4 Vegetable Noodle soup and vegetable noodle salad

16/4 Vegetable Paella

Throughout your online cooking course, you'll also learn:

Easy ways to repurpose ingredients and leftovers to create new dishes.
How to reduce food waste through correct storage of ingredients.
Knife skills, baking techniques, measuring, use of hob and oven.
How to work with different flavours and the use of herbs and spices.

You'll finish up your cooking classes with a new love of cooking and at least 12 staple dishes to create independently with ease. You'll also feel confident to cook and experiment with flavours and ingredients without always having to refer to recipes – a brilliant way to continue to develop your cooking skills.

After each of your cooking classes, you'll have a delicious dish, made by you, to enjoy!

If you or your child would like to undertake this course as part of a Duke of Edinburgh Award, please get in touch with your teacher about completion of the online assessor form. There's a £30 fee for this.

Hi I’m Anne Marie and I love to cook and can't wait to share my knowledge with you. I have been teaching all ages since 2009 and very experienced in what I do and won several awards in recognition of this.

I am very patient and used to working with people who are beginners or not very confident in the kitchen.

I provide cooking programmes in the community alongside corporate health and well being workshops to encourage and enable people to cook from scratch.

I love to bake and teach traditional foods as well popular food from around the world. I especially enjoy dishes that enable me to use my seasonal fruit and vegetables from my allotment.

I also provide a variety of accessible cooking lessons to inspire you to cook no matter what your dietary requirements.

All my cooking experiences have an emphasis on fun, health, sustainability and affordability. They are also simple enough for beginners but interesting enough for those looking for some inspiration in the kitchen.

They are available for individuals of all ages in your own home live via Zoom. I also provide bespoke private lessons and small group workshops from my home in Warwick, UK.

I like to show people that cooking does not have to be complicated to taste good, it’s all about confidence about knowing what tastes good together and mastering some basic cooking skills.

My aim is to be creative with basic ingredients already in your cupboard, which will inspire you to recreate them again and again. No need for fancy ingredient kits! Also better for the environment too.

I believe that anyone can cook with a little help and my aim is to make cooking a pleasure and not a chore. I am a great believer in sustainable cooking and finding imaginative ways to use your leftovers.
